I stopped to have my lunch here as I heard it was nice and quiet – it was. Located in the front of the Early Settler furniture store, it is lovely and quiet and the staff are friendly and accommodating.

It is a cute little layout (especially the high tea area at the back) and elegant ambiance. Plenty of parking lots along Grote street and small street nearby is a bonus in the city.

The food was very delicious and fulfilling, they make all the food in house.

And how cute is this crockery! I love the little biscuit that came out with it, felt like a Royal (as the name suggests).

STAFF TIP
– I spoke to the owner who was happy to help answer my questions about ambient times. She gave me some great tidbits!
– It is quiet most of the time, even when they are hosting a high tea.
– Most high tea experiences get lively as the champagne starts to kick in, but this is a non licensed high tea – so they participants rarely get rowdy.
– If you like the idea of a high tea, without the ruckus of the group next to you, this would be a great spot to book.
– Lola requires 3 days notice to book a high tea and I have ‘heard’ only good things about them
