We are thrilled to announce the addition of Mark Paton to our team. With a remarkable career spanning over four decades, Mark has been dedicated to providing exceptional hearing services in Australia since May of 1983.
He now runs an Independent and locally owned Hearing Clinic on the Southern Downs, Hear for Good. A place where you get a comprehensive hearing test in a booth, professional hearing advice, and can see a trusted local professional to solve your hearing problems.

Mark’s journey began when he opened his first clinic in the picturesque city of Toowoomba, Queensland. As one of the pioneering contract holders in Queensland, he played a pivotal role in the introduction of the Pensioner Hearing Rehabilitation Scheme to the private sector back in 1993.
Through his commitment and expertise, Mark, along with his partner Lisa, nurtured their practice into a leading Hearing Health centre. Their services extended from Tenterfield in the South to Kingaroy in the North, Boonah to the East, and Miles to the West. This expansive reach showcased Mark’s deep belief that every Australian deserves the right to hear.
Mark’s extensive experience and contributions have earned him numerous accolades and positions of influence within the hearing health community. He has served as a Board member of the Australian College of Audiology, where he also held the prestigious role of President. Additionally, he has contributed as an examiner, practice development specialist, and mentor. Most recently, Mark has been appointed as the Chair of the Policy and Advocacy Committee at the Australian College of Audiology, where he will continue to shape the future of Audiometrists and Audiologists in Australia.
We are excited to have Mark join our team at Ambient Menu. His deep passion for enhancing the lives of individuals with hearing impairments aligns perfectly with our mission. Not only has Mark dedicated his career to providing exceptional hearing services, but he also shares our vision of creating serene environments for diners. As a hearing health professional, he understands the importance of recommending places that prioritize tranquility for his patients. Unfortunately, he has noticed a prevailing trend of loud and disruptive environments, which is why he is eager to be part of Ambient Menu.
